Watching an Alix Earle video on TikTok is like being on FaceTime with your best friend as they get ready to go out. The content creator, who has 3.6 million followers on Instagram and 6.7 million on TikTok, can deplete a product’s stock across multiple retailers with just one mention in a short video—that’s how much her followers trust her recommendations. That’s also why you, our readers, voted to give her the Favorite Creator title over 10 other nominees in Allure’s 2024 Reader’s Choice Awards.
People are just as interested in Earle’s daily life as her favorite products—her detailed vlogs, which garner millions of views, take followers through her day as she films content, watches Love Is Blind, and executes her in-depth beauty routines (she’s just like us).
While Earle is mostly an open book about said routines, there are some beloved products she’s never touted, probably because no one has asked about them yet. Below, Earle walks us through her beauty routine from head to toe, including the unsexy drugstore body product she loves, her secret to filter-like makeup, and the single beauty product that has a permanent reservation on her vanity.
Hair
Hair care is something that I’ve been learning more about and taking more seriously. I try to wash my hair every four or five days. I’ve been loving the L’Oreal Ever Pure Bond Strengthening line. The Redken One United Leave-In Conditioner spray and OGX Argan Oil of Morocco are two recent additions to my hair care routine.
I usually let my hair air dry. I only try to style it and use heat if I’m going to something important where I want my hair to look good, in which case I’ll reach for the Dyson Airwrap or the T3 straightener or curling iron.
Skin
My skin-care routine has gotten pretty in-depth over the past few months. It used to be super simple. In the morning, I use the Pietro Simone Ozonized Purifying Cleanser. After I rinse my skin I use the Vivant Skin Nourishing Toner, the Vivant 8% Mandelic Acid Serum, and the Vivant Allantoin Moisturizer. And then after all of that, I will use the Alastin Tinted SPF.
In the evenings, if I’m wearing makeup, I will triple cleanse. I start with the Cosmedix Purity Solution Nourishing Deep Cleansing Oil. Then I go in with the Pietro Simone Ozonized Purifying Cleanser, followed by the Vivant Green Tea Cleanser, just to make sure I get all my makeup off and get my skin fresh and clean. Then I’ll go in with the Vivant Skin Nourishing Toner and the Vivant 8% Mandelic Acid Serum. I use the Hero Cosmetics Rescue Balm if I have any active blemishes that I need to calm down. [Earle is a paid partner of Hero Cosmetics]. Then I use the IS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum and the Face Reality Skin Care 5% Acne Medicine. If I am dealing with any active blemishes, I will use the Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch and for my nose, I love the Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Nose Patches.
Makeup
If I’m not doing full glam, I use the Alastin tinted SPF as my complexion product just because it will keep my skin safe from the sun. I’m in Miami, so I want to make sure I’m wearing SPF all the time. Then I’ll use the Benefit Benetint as a lip and cheek stain, and then I’ll usually just do my NARS Creamy Concealer and a lip balm. One hack I love for the daytime is curling my eyelashes and putting Aquaphor on the ends of them to make my eyes look more awake. I have blonde eyelashes, so that makes them pop a little bit more without having to do the full mascara routine.
When I’m doing full glam, I start with my base, which is the Haus Labs Foundation; I have found it to be my favorite foundation. I use the Nars Creamy Concealer and the Rare Beauty Bronzing Stick in my base as well. I’ve been reaching for the Patrick Ta blush duos a lot; my favorite shades are She’s Blushing, She’s The Moment, and Just Enough. I bake my face using the Huda Beauty Baking Powder.
I love Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara. I’ve been using that one for maybe eight years now. I never switch up my mascara, so that has always been my favorite for a full glam look. I line my lips with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner in Love Trap and [then apply] the Patrick Ta Lip Plumping Gloss. I finish my face with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting Spray.
Body
When I’m taking an “everything shower” I usually start with body wash to clean everything and make sure my hands are clean. I love the Aveeno body wash because I have really sensitive skin; there’s one that’s fragrance-free. I usually use a loofah with the body wash. I wash my hair in the shower, so I’ll do my whole shampoo and conditioner routine, wash my face, and then I shave [my legs] using the Men’s Gillette Proglide Razor. Sometimes before shaving, I use the Ouai Scalp & Body Scrub to exfoliate my skin.
When I get out of the shower, I use Aveeno body lotion and spray on the Dossier Woody Sandalwood Perfume. In the past few months that’s been my go-to fragrance.
Nails
I usually get my nails done every two to three weeks. Recently, I got a Russian manicure for the first time. [The nail tech] said they would last for a month; I’m going on three weeks right now, and they still look great. This is the longest my nails have ever lasted.
Usually, I’ll go for Gel-X [nail extensions] on my fingers and gel polish on my toes because I feel like that will last for a year. I’m pretty neutral when it comes to nail polish colors. [On] my toes, I usually stick to a white or a light pink color unless there’s a bolder shade that’s calling my name.
