For Halle Bailey, 2023 was the year of mermaid. She was the star of Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid and spent much of the summer promoting the film in oceanic outfits and hairstyles, including a jeweled scallop headpiece and intricate twisted side ponytail. Even though the movie premiere has come and gone, Bailey will forever be tied to Ariel, and the actor and singer was giving off big mermaid vibes on a recent beach vacation.
Bailey jetted off to Mexico with her baby son Halo and shared a handful of pics from her trip, including an extremely cute selfie with the baby, who is her absolute twin. However, it was her long, hip-length mix of locs and curls that really caught our eye. It’s a pretty even split of the two, with more locs concentrated around her face and transitioning into curls that fall all the way down to the top of her hips.
