I didn’t start getting tattoos until 10 years ago at age 35, and I’m pretty sure I’ll keep collecting them forever; but for some reason, I decided a long time ago that I was past the age for non-ear piercings. I absolutely love the look of a nose ring, but I’ve inexplicably felt that it’s a look best pulled off by folks in their 20s and 30s. But then, Cher decided to prove me extremely wrong.
The legendary singer and actor attended the amfAR Cannes Gala in Cap d’Antibes, France, on Thursday night wearing an all-black ensemble — including long, wavy, middle-parted hair — and sparkling in numerous ways. She wore fingerless gloves covered in crystals, a fingerful of diamonds, and a choker loaded with gemstones. But it was the new addition to her nose that really glistened.
Cher wore a nose ring on her left nostril, topped off with a not-too-big, not-too-small pear-shaped diamond and looping through with either a silver, white gold, or platinum hoop. It’s unclear if it’s definitely a true piercing or a clip-on, but if anyone can make even clip-on nose rings cool, it’s Cher.
