Zoey Deutch Chopped All Her Hair Off and Dyed It Platinum Blonde — See Photos

There’s an unofficial blonde pixie cut hall of fame, filled with famous women who wore the look so well — and some who still do — so stunningly that it made us seriously consider it for ourselves. If someone built a museum honoring the look, you’d find portraits of Michelle Williams, Jean Seberg, Charlize Theron, Katy Perry, Mia Farrow, Cara Delevingne, Carey Mulligan, among a handful of memorable others. And as of today, there’s a new member of this special club: Zoey Deutch.

For as long as Zoey Deutch has been in the public, she’s been a bona fide hair chameleon. Although I personally picture her with long, auburn hair, that’s really only been her hairstyle and color some of the time over the last decade. Her hair has been bronde, strawberry blonde, rich brunette, honey blonde, and most recently, she’s worn her hair long and dark with blunt bangs. And speaking of length, although her hair is usually on the long side, she’s dabbled in fun bobs and lobs. But never have we seen the actor with hair so short and so light.

Remember how I mentioned Jean Seberg as one of the premier blonde pixie icons? That’s not a coincidence. Deutch will be playing the late actor in an upcoming Richard Linklater film. Colorist Tracey Cunningham and hairstylist Bridget Brager were trusted with the transformation, and a video Cunningham posted shows that Deutch was an active participant in the process, taking scissors to her own hair at one point.
